1. How does the self-paced format work?
Participants are provided with a licence giving them access to the self-paced courses. They can choose courses based on their individual learning needs and complete them at any time during the programme period, at their own pace and around their work schedule and other commitments. There are no fixed training times or scheduled sessions.
2. How much time should I plan for the programme?Individual courses generally require approximately 1 to 3 hours to complete. To successfully complete the learning initiative, participants must complete at least four courses by 31 December 2026.
3. How long will the licence be available? The licence will be available from 2 November to 31 December 2026. Participants will have access to the platform throughout this period.
4. Can I complete more than four courses?Yes. Four courses are the minimum completion requirement for the programme. Participants may complete as many additional courses as they wish during the licence period, according to their interests and learning needs.
5. Will I receive a certificate?Yes. Participants will receive a certificate from the learning platform for each course completed. Participants who successfully complete at least four courses by 31 December 2026 will also receive a programme completion certificate through WAVE for the Harvard Learning Self-Paced Licence programme.
6. What happens if I am unable to complete four courses?Participants who are unable to continue with the programme should inform SDL as soon as possible. Failure to complete the programme without prior notification or valid justification may affect eligibility for future learning opportunities. Workload peaks or competing priorities will not normally be accepted as justification for non-completion.
7. What happens if there are more applications than available licences? There are 28 licences available. Eligible applicants will be assessed according to the objective criteria described in the Call for Applications, after which the proposed cohort will be reviewed to support balanced participation.
8. Where can I apply? You can submit your application through the online application form: Harvard Learning - Self-Paced programme – Prefilled form
9. In which language are the self-paced courses available?
