1) Can G-staff apply for the UNCT?

2) Can a staff member at the P3 level apply for the UNCT?
Within the Professional category, only staff at the P5, D1 and D2 levels are eligible to apply as the UN System Staff College (UNSSC) is targeting senior professionals for this programme.
3) Are staff members holding Ungraded (UG) contracts eligible to apply?
The LWUN application is currently only targeted at specific categories of Professional staff.
4) Since applicants should have worked at IOM for 2 consecutive years, should the entire time have been at the P5, D1 and D2 levels?
No, the two-year requirement refers to continuous service within IOM, regardless of grade level. However, applicants must demonstrate consistent and substantial experience in applying well-rounded leadership skills and making significant strategic contributions during that time.
5) What does it mean to have experience within a country that is part of a UNCT?It means you have worked in a country where a United Nations Country Team (UNCT) is formally established and active. This includes:
6) I participated in the UNCT several years ago. If the programme content has changed, can I apply again?
Only 4 IOM staff will be sponsored for this programme in 2025; therefore, if you have previously benefited from the UNCT, the applications of colleagues who have never participated in the programme will be prioritized.
7) Who will sponsor the programme fee?
The total cost of participation for selected participants (USD 5,500 per person) will be sponsored by SDL. The DSA, visa costs, and all other international and local travel costs will need to be covered through mission funds. Kindly contact your Direct Manager, Chief of Mission or RMO to get more information on this.
8) Will the programme be recorded, and is there a possibility to follow online if I cannot attend in person?No, the programme will not be recorded, nor is it offered in a hybrid format. Participants are required to attend all five days of the face-to-face programme in Bonn, Germany.
9) Can I choose the cohort in which I want to participate?No, cohort assignments will be determined by the SDL team. The first cohort is scheduled from 15 to 19 September, and the second from 20 to 24 October. If there are exceptional circumstances preventing you from attending your assigned cohort, the SDL team may consider a change.
10) How can I check if I have completed all mandatory courses and/or which ones I still need to complete?
